Adult MHFA Courses
Mental Health and Life was founded in order to break down the barriers that stand between people and a happy and contented life in the UK. We see it as our mission to communicate to all members of the UK community – including ethnic minorities, women and other historically marginalized groups – the important role mental health plays in determining their overall quality of life.
As such, we have developed an array of courses that combine outreach and education to open eyes and provide real-world solutions to what may have seemed like insurmountable problems. Our Adult MHFA courses are the perfect starting point for anyone who wants to know more about the link between mental health and happiness.
Adult MHFA Courses: Three Ways to Connect With Yourself
Our Adult MHFA courses are designed to introduce newcomers to the concepts of good mental health and to help them connect the dots between these basic principles and greater personal fulfilment.
Adult Become Mental Health Aware Course
Our ‘Become Mental Health Aware’ course is a half-day course that introduces individuals to the concept of mental health while at the same time debunking the stigma often associated with the mental health profession. Students are introduced to fundamental mental health issues and provided with simple tools for monitoring and maintaining optimal mental health.
Adult MHFA Champion Course
The Adult MHFA Champion Course provides a more comprehensive view of mental health issues than the Become Mental Health Aware Course. This is a 1-Day course designed to provide you with the knowledge you need to identify certain mental health issues. You will also learn some simple intervention techniques that will enable you to advocate for mental health.
Adult MHFA Mental Health First Aider Course
The Adult MHFA Mental Health First Aider Course is a 2-Day course that makes a deep dive into the issues that affect mental health and wellbeing. You will learn how to identify triggers that can initiate a downward mental health spiral and learn some tricks on how to avoid them. You will also learn some simple yet effective skills that can be employed to help others in distress.
