Mental Health and Life have created these unique courses.
These courses are a combination of Mental Health First Aid and Specialist Suicide Prevention Skills and are exclusive to Mental Health and Life, delivered UK wide.
In 2018 there were 6154 suicides in Great Britain. This means that more than 16 people per day took their life. It is estimated that 10—25 times that number attempted suicide (827)
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training is the world’s most evidence based, widely taught and evaluated training suitable for all adults in all situations. Participants learn how to recognise when someone may be thinking about suicide, and how to ask about suicide with confidence and clarity.
Further skills enable them to work with that individual to discover their unique reason to keep safe in the short term, in order to access other supports we will tell you about, creating an opportunity for individuals to solve or survive the problems in their lives.
These courses are perfect for any organisation who wish to break the stigma around Mental Health and for high suicide risk industries such as construction.
These courses can be tailored by splitting dates and changing learners over the teaching days, get in touch for more information!
